Allegheny County’s COVID Community Level has changed from HIGH to MEDIUM. In accordance with the CDC Guidelines, masking will be optional starting tomorrow, Monday, June 13.

Allegheny County’s COVID Community Level has changed from MEDIUM to HIGH. In accordance with the District’s communication on Friday, May 20, the following will occur effective immediately:

After additional consultations, it was determined that masking will be required during travel to field trips and if the field trip is inside regardless of Allegheny County’s community level.

The district continues to closely monitor Allegheny County’s COVID-19 community level rate while reviewing our mitigation procedures. With that being said, current Allegheny County data suggest that the county could potentially transition into high community levels in the coming days.

We are aware that Allegheny County’s COVID Community Level has changed from LOW to MEDIUM. At this time, ECS is not altering its health and safety plan but is closely monitoring the community level as well as our district’s cases. 

Effective immediately, ECS is no longer conducting individualized contact tracing.
