Intermediate School Aug. Newsletter (21–22)
Dear ECS Intermediate Families,
We would like to extend a special welcome from the ECS Intermediate to our new and returning families! We are incredibly excited to kick off the 2021–2022 school year with you. We are looking forward to creating a developmentally appropriate space for students in 3rd–5th grade to thrive both academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our vision for ECS Intermediate is to value every member of our school community (students, parents, staff, and community partners), ensuring that Black and Brown students and students situated in poverty are supported. We encourage all members to contribute to the overall success of ECS members and the greater good. We will know that we are successful when all of our students are successful. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with you as we collaborate together in order to support the children in all aspects of their learning. This teamwork will ultimately have the children reach their goals of being knowledgeable and creative problem solvers and empathetic citizens.
We look forward to seeing all families at our Meet & Greet on August 16, from 5:30–7:30 p.m., at the ECS Intermediate School. You will have the chance to talk to the staff, meet other families, and catch up on summer adventures. Although the Meet & Greet will be held outside on the backlot (weather permitting), we will have self-guided tours of the building that evening. Please note that the health and safety of everyone remains a priority and wearing a face mask is required by everyone inside the Intermediate School building. Also, please practice social distancing during the event. Remember to be a good neighbor and be considerate when parking on the surrounding streets.
