Dear ECS Families,

“Take Your Child to Work Day” is approaching on Thursday, April 27, and as an organization that is dedicated to educating students through real-world experiences, ECS whole heartily believes in its educational contribution to growing global citizens. “Take Your Child to Work Day” is a valuable celebration that allows your child(ren) to learn more about your professional life, explore careers, gain an understanding of the working world, and dream of what their future could possibly hold.

If you plan to take your student to work, please review the following information:

  • Your student will receive an excused absence.

  • If your child misses school, please follow the regular excuse procedures. Please provide an excuse and indicate that it was for an educational trip.

  • ECS encourages parents/guardians who plan to participate in this program to make arrangements with their employer in advance to ensure that their child will have a safe and enriching experience.

  • Students are responsible for any missed schoolwork, and they are expected to make up any assignments or tests that they miss on April 27.

  • Here are a few tips to ensure your child has a wonderful adventure while celebrating “Take Your Child to Work Day.”

I hope that many of our students take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore the world of work, gain valuable insight into various professions, and share quality time with family.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child’s education.

Sincerely,

Amanda Cribbs, EdD
