Primary students and staff had an amazing time at Earth Day Fun Day! Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible!! We had teachers, staff, parents, and high school students supporting all of our K–2 children’s activities.

What's new at the Primary School?
Have you met Ms. Dunn? Ms. Dunn is our new assistant teacher in 2D. If you see Ms. Dunn please welcome her to the ECS Primary Family!
Sign Up for Morning & After School Care
There are still seats available in the Primary School’s morning and after school care programs provided through our partners, YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh. Sign up by June 17.
*Please note that there is a 15-person minimum for morning care.*
Remake Learning Days
ECS is partnering with Remake Learning Days on Tuesday, May 17 to host World Wide Wonder: Open the Door to Outdoor Learning from 1–2:30 p.m. for students in grades K–5 at the Intermediate School. Learn more…
In Case You Missed It
ECS will discontinue its closed campus protocol starting on Friday, May 6.
With this update, ECS will resume its pre-covid visitor policies and accept visitors into its buildings:
All visitors must present state issued identification to enter any ECS facility.
Extended stay visitors, such as parent volunteers, must wear a visitor’s badge at all times.
Parents/Guardians must report to the building office to sign in and out.
The school must have prior knowledge of an early dismissal before you pick up your child.
On campus/in-building events will resume. Events will use outdoor and indoor spaces to allow for social distancing.
If you want to volunteer, you will need to have the following 3 clearances on file with ECS:
PA Criminal Record-Free for volunteers - renew every five years
PA Child Abuse- Free for volunteers - renew every five years
FBI Clearance (service code 1KG6Y3) OR the PA Resident Background Check Form, if you've lived in PA for ten consecutive years. Renew every 5 years.
Bring these with you when you arrive for your first volunteer appointment, the office will make copies to have on file and give you back the originals.
