Job Description and Search Firm Update–CEO Succession Planning Team
From the desk of Adam Tobias, ECS Board of Trustees President and the CEO Succession Planning Team
In January, the ECS Board of Trustees voted to select OnRamps as the executive search firm tasked with securing a new CEO.
The CS Team and OnRamps finalized the job description, core competencies, and regional compensation analysis, and received ECS Board approval to move forward in posting the position on February 1, 2024. Applicants will be managed through the OnRamps website and initially consolidated and screened by the experts at their firm.
Over the next six to eight weeks, staff will have the chance to engage in collaborative listening sessions hosted by both OnRamps and the CS team in both virtual and in-person settings to provide increased accessibility. During these sessions, participants will be invited to share insights, contemplate ECS's mission, and envision the future ahead for ECS’s next CEO. OnRamps will embed these themes in the vetting process for candidates, and the CS Team will share the summary of the dialogue with our community.
OnRamps will be accepting candidates throughout February and March, conducting initial screenings and recommendations to the CS Team. The CS Team will conduct the first and second rounds of interviews in April, and final candidates will be invited to visit with the ECS community in late May or early June.
Our next community communication will occur at the end of March, and include insights about market response, listening session themes, and other updates to the timeline.
