Dear ECS Intermediate School Families,

As we conclude our PSSA testing, we are eager to resume our daily schedule with all of the exciting things that will happen in the month of May.  We begin with all the action on May 3rd.  Up first is the Walk, Bike, and Roll to School.  This activity highlights the importance of safe, active transportation to school, and encouraging accessible spaces for all active trips.  Also on May 3rd, the Intermediate School will participate in our Earth Service Day.  The students will wear their house colors on that day and participatte in activities such as trash pick up, tree care, litter clean up, and more.  Both the Walk, Bike, and Roll to School and the Earth Service Day are ways that the students can be responsible stewards of the environment.  As a final note, the K - 5 Sustainability Fair will be taking place at the Intermediate School on May 17th.  The K - 5 Sustainability Fair is an after-school event (5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)

Sincerely,

Laura Williams
Intermediate School Principal

Intermediate School Hawk Highlights From Last Month!

Take a peek at some pictures from Zero Waste Week and Womenspiration.

Womenspiration is an enrichment opportunity for our 5th graders. Students choose a notable woman, past or present, to research. After completing their research, students travel to the Primary school dressed up as their notable woman. Once there, they stay in character and share information about their lives with our Primary school students.
