Biology I Grade 9 1 Credit

  • This course is required for all freshmen.


Biology is an introductory course that emphasizes the nature, form, chemical structure, and heredity of living things. Students are exposed to units of study that include ecology, biochemistry, cells and cellular processes, genetics, evolution, and the diversity of organisms.  Laboratory investigations will be done to enhance other classroom learning activities.  The Keystone Exam is a state mandated assessment for all students and will occur at the conclusion of the student’s Biology course.  Students must pass the Biology Keystone to graduate.
