This course meets the guidelines for Pathway CD.
Sociology focuses on the systematic understanding of social interaction, social organization, social institutions, and social change with particular emphasis on the interplay between the individual and society, the social construction of human life, the causes and consequences of social inequality, and the juxtaposition between stability and change. This elective course will help students discover and explain social patterns while simultaneously developing critical thinking skills and a deeper sense of empathy for the great diversity of societies, traditions, and norms in our world.
