Nov. 19 Vaccine Clinic & Student Vaccination Policy
Dear ECS Families,
Due to the high turnout rate from the Nov. 4 vaccine clinic, ECS is excited to host an additional clinic for individuals ages 5 to 11 ONLY on Friday, Nov. 19 from 4–8 p.m. To accommodate more appointments, this clinic will occur at the High School location and is ONLY for ECS students who are between the ages of 5 and 11. Individuals who wish to have their child participate must sign up for an appointment.
A parent/guardian is permitted and encouraged to accompany their student at their scheduled appointment.
Please also bring a photocopy of your insurance card (if available). Covid-19 vaccines are free to all, regardless of insurance.
Students should wear a short sleeve shirt so the pharmacist can access their shoulder/arm easily.
The second vaccine clinic will occur on Friday, Dec. 10 at the same time as your original appointment at the High School.
Learn more about the Covid-19 Vaccine and understand the difference between adult and child dosage.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Nurse Judy, 6–12 Certified Nurse.
Finally, in addition to this added layer of mitigation against the spread of COVID-19, ECS proposed a student vaccination policy during the Board of Trustees public meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 20. While the Board will NOT vote on this policy until the vaccine has been granted full FDA approval, ECS highly encourages families to vaccinate their student as soon as possible. Please take a moment to review the proposed policy and reach out to James Doyle, COO, if you have any questions.
Thank you for taking this next step to ensuring student and staff safety. We look forward to seeing you at the Nov. 19 vaccine clinic.
Sincerely,
James Doyle, Chief Operating Officer
