ECS 🦅 October 2022 News
Dear ECS Families,
The weather has certainly transitioned into the Fall season, and with it comes a variety of events and activities. From the students taking a well-deserved break on Oct. 10 and 11 to our Annual Pumpkin Parade and Fall festivities, all students K–11 will enjoy a season of exciting experiences and academic growth.
As we transition into cooler weather, please be sure your student plans accordingly. At ECS, we are dedicated to out-the-door learning even as the temperatures begin to decrease. While late fall and winter bring chilling temperatures that may prevent students from physically going outside, we take an active role in ensuring students get out of the traditional classroom. This might include field trips, visiting partner organizations, or simply experiencing their class in a different space within the building.
October may bring a change in temperatures and leaf color, but ECS remains committed to educating for sustainability, focusing on the development of the whole child through our thorough core curriculum, and providing “ECSy” experiences.
With that said, I look forward to seeing several of your smiling faces at the Pumpkin Parade at the end of this month.
Be Well,
Jon McCann
