ECMS Upper Lot Development

ECS CFO, Michelle Resnick, met with the upper lot’s development manager during a walk through of the construction site on Monday, Aug. 29.

Construction has begun at the Environmental Charter Middle School to transform its upper parking lot into a green space that will expand on the property’s outdoor spaces. The project includes basketball hoops, outdoor park equipment, a recreational turf, compost station, and several pathways for outdoor adventure.

The goal of the project is to not only enhance the look of the area but to also provide an additional space for students to explore their curiosities and study the world around them. Students will use the upper green space as an outdoor classroom, recess area, and during P.E. class. The space will also double as a community park when school is not in session.

ECS hired Caliber Contracting Services to develop the Upper Green space which is slated for completion in October.
