CDC COVID 19 Guidelines March 2024 Update

Dear ECS Families and Staff,

Upon review of the CDC’s recently updated guidelines for preventing the spread of respiratory viruses, including COVID-19, district administration worked with ECS’s Health Office Team and health care professionals to align the district’s protocols with CDC recommendations. 

With that said, students and adults are welcome to come back to school or work if they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications AND their symptoms are improving.  

Once returning to normal activities such as school and work, ECS highly encourages individuals to take additional CDC-recommended precautions, such as masking, for 5 days. For more information regarding prevention and precautions of respiratory illness, please visit the CDC website.
