The state budget recently passed. Below are some of the changes for the 23/24 school year.
ECMS and ECHS are now CEP (Community Eligible Provision) which means they will receive free breakfast AND lunch
All students across the state of PA K to 12 will receive free breakfast.
Students attending Primary and Intermediate will still need to complete household applications. (Schoolcafe.com)

All students who attend approved CEP schools, regardless of income level, are eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day they attend school. Free and reduced meal benefit applications will not be collected for students attending a CEP school.
IMPORTANT - Parents must remember to fill out a free and reduced meal benefit application for their entire household if they have children attending Primary or Intermediate
Students at a CEP school are eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day that they attend school. However, if the student elects to take an extra milk or a second meal, their school meal account will be charged the full price for the extra milk. Breakfast meals are free across the district.

No, if you only have a student at Middle or High school, no further action is required.

Yes, students may purchase extra items.
Lunch meals: $2.95
Breakfast: $2.00
Milk/Juice a la carte: $0.45
Additionally, for the 23/24 school year, families attending Primary and Intermediate, who have qualified via the application for reduced-price meals, will NOT be charged for meals.
