Dear ECS Families,
ECS is dedicated to educating the whole child, and we are proud to offer district-wide activities year-round. Summer camps provide students an opportunity to explore interests and build relationships with friends and peers during the summer months. We believe that summer camp is an opportunity for children to explore, grow, and discover their unique passions and talents. Our dedicated team remains rooted in designing a diverse and enriching program that will ignite your child's imagination and create a sense of wonder.
At ECS, we are committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and our summer programming focuses on goals 3, 15, and 17.
Through a variety of partnerships, ECS is delighted to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can flourish and create memories that will last a lifetime. Summer camps vary each year but may include:
Thrilling Outdoor Activities: ECS camps offer a wide range of outdoor activities that will get your child's heart racing and their spirits soaring. They will have the opportunity to conquer challenges, develop resilience, and build lifelong friendships in a safe and supportive environment.
Creative Arts and Crafts: Let your child's creativity run wild! From gathering outdoor materials to create sculptures to discovering how to make natural paint, we will nurture their imagination and encourage them to think outside the box.
Sports and Recreation: Teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy dose of friendly competition are the cornerstones of our sports and recreation summer camps such as all sports and basketball. Our experienced coaches will focus on skill development, while also ensuring that everyone has a blast!
STEAM Exploration: Prepare your young innovator for a journey into the fascinating world of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Through interactive experiments, coding workshops, chess competitions, and hands-on projects, we will inspire your child's curiosity and ignite their passion for STEM subjects.

Summer Camp Opportunities
YMCA
The YMCA would like to invite your child(ren) to join us for summer camp at the Homewood YMCA, which is less than 5 minutes away from ECS! We will not be offering a camp at ECS this summer but we are excited about the opportunities that are available at the Homewood Summer Camp. The camp's director is Dr. Renee Knox who has been running this camp with her team for multiple years, Dr. Knox is also the Program Director for the after-school programs at Colfax Elementary and Ramsey Elementary schools.
Camp at the Homewood YMCA includes STEAM activities in the newly renovated Maker Space, physical activities in the gym and outdoor play spaces as well as time in the garden with support from Phipps Conservatory. Campers can expect to explore different themes each week, make new friends, and have new experiences both at the Homewood YMCA and during field trips.
