A Note from the Principals
We are so excited to have our 5th-grade families join us at our middle school! This page is dedicated to our current families to help them discover more about the ECMS program and our faculty and staff that make it an exceptional place for the middle school years.
ECS’s core values of catalyst, character, collaboration, and commitment will remain the same through dedicated teachers that loop to build valued relationships and school community, out-the-door education to explore interests and spark curiosity, and hands-on learning experiences and group problem-solving.
Learn more about 6th-grade and ECMS by joining us in person for the Middle School Showcase, a special event just for you, on Monday, Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m. During this event, you will have the opportunity to choose your own adventure. Please come anytime between 5:30–6:45 pm.
The Middle School Showcase will provide families the opportunity to learn more about the programming and space including:
Block 0 where students have an opportunity to explore their interests with more than 15 offered activities.
Diversified studies (Robotics and Coding, Spanish, Health/P.E, Music, Visual Arts).
ECMS’s innovative Remix Lab.
Organized Athletics and Clubs, Dances, and Overnight Trips
At ECMS, we prepare students for high school and beyond through multi-disciplinary content that is rooted in critical and systems thinking and analysis and focus on real-world problems. We cannot wait to meet each of you as you begin this transition and learn with us for the next three years.

The ECS Middle School provides a variety of settings for learning while maintaining student comfort. The cafe is the heart of the building and the perfect space for assemblies and other events. Several spaces incorporate flexible seating, and a view of the East Liberty community can be seen from the third floor of the building. Each grade lives in its own color-coded community pods. Students have an opportunity to interact with their peers when switching classes throughout the day.
