STEM: Wicked Problems Grades 10-12 0.5 Credit
This course meets the guidelines for Pathway STEM.
A “wicked problem” is an issue or dilemma that is so complex that a solution is extremely difficult or even impossible. In this discussion-based, elective course, we will examine various “wicked problems” in our contemporary world – including food scarcity, clean water access, and energy consumption. We will particularly focus on problems and solutions through the lens of STEM – exploring how science and technology have created these challenges while also offering some hope for providing solutions in the years ahead.
