Data Science Grades 11-12 0.5 Credit

  • This course meets the guidelines for Pathway STEM if it is taken as a 4th math credit.

Data science is a blend of quantitative reasoning, statistics, and computer science used to gain meaningful insights from data. Part computer scientist, mathematician, and trendspotter, data scientists are responsible for interacting with data in these areas to support informed industry decisions. As such, there is a growing need for up-and-coming generations of students to learn how to effectively interact with data. Students will use and analyze data to better understand a problem, measure the scope of a problem, or understand how people are affected by the problem.
