Clubs and Athletics

Clubs provide a variety of after school activities that promotes curiosity, sparks thought, and captivates the imagination of our students. Athletics offers students an opportunity to build both physical and social skills through organized sports and teamwork. ECS believes these extracurricular experiences promote the long-term development and success of the whole child.

Athletics Participation and Guidelines

Parents/guardians, to assure that all children who want to participate in athletics have that opportunity, there is a 1-sport per season limit. Meaning that your child will not be permitted to play multiple ECS sports at the same time. Also, in order to have a completed application for athletic participation, you and your child(ren) will need to review, sign and submit the Athletic’s Consent to Participate & Code of Conduct. Signed documents can be emailed to the athletic director and club coordinator, Aaron Coleman.

Club Participation and Guidelines

Parents/guardians are welcome to enroll their child in multiple clubs per session. ECS club registration operates on a first come, first served basis with no lottery. Enrollment closes when the club has reached capacity. If you need additional support please email your school using the buttons above.

Afterschool Programs

What is E-day at ECS?

E-Day, the tuition-based after school program at ECS,  provides a safe and fun environment for students to play, study, and engage while parents finish up their workdays. With programs at both the upper and lower schools, serving students K- 5th grade, E-Day is dedicated to reflecting the school’s mission by following the standards and goals established at ECS.

As school dismisses and E-Day begins, students transition to after school where they eat snack and socialize. From there, daily activities include outdoor free time and nature hikes, games and puzzles, arts and crafts, cooking and tech time, and a focus on reading. In addition, E-Day offers a daily homework lab to get a head start on nightly assignments. The students also enjoy enrichment programming from community organizations such as the Sierra Club, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, and Carnegie Library.
