Public Speaking
Public Speaking Grades 9-12 0.5 Credit
Students in Public Speaking will learn the basics of speaking both formally and informally in front of a group – with experiences beginning as brief opportunities and becoming longer, more frequent, and more challenging speaking experiences as the semester progresses. This course will emphasize voice, tone, eye contact, delivery, and projection, and the students will participate in a debate, share time on a panel, and give a formal speech based on research.
