Cities & Urban Development Grades 10-12 0.5 Credit

This elective course will introduce students to historical and contemporary issues related to city growth and urban development (in both America and the broader world), specifically looking at issues of pollution, mismanagement, public health, transportation, education, housing, zoning, and growth.  Students will use the city of Pittsburgh as a touchstone and a laboratory for their exploration of these issues, identifying and investigating key ideas to address urban problems and inequities.
