ONE HUNDRED DAYS until the first day of school for 2019-2020! This year we open our Middle School at 5525 Columbo Street, and we are challenging you to remember the new address by contributing to ECS. We hope to raise $5,525 to support all of our K-8 students in the 2019-2020 school year.

Here’s how you can help!

If every family donates $7 we can reach our goal of $5525!

  • $25 provides seeds for a classroom for Edible School Yard

  • $50 refills green cleaning supplies for a classroom

  • $100 replenishes playground equipment

  • $200 adds a bike to the Intermediate School

  • $250 funds a field trip bus

The Environmental Charter School is a tuition free K-8 charter school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. ECS combines the academic rigor of the best public schools with a multi-disciplinary, "out-the-door" learning approach rooted in real world problems that build active, engaged, and empathetic citizens.

We think differently. We approach school differently. We believe that it is our responsibility to build an active, engaged, and thoughtful citizenry – not just graduate students. We strongly commit to building systems thinkers, and use the platform of environment and ecology explore complexity, diverse perspectives, and various disciplinary ways to engage or explore a problem.
